Producer Jackie Sojico brings us a story about a man who doesn’t fit the description of a traditional “outdoorsman.” It’s a story about trying to do something you love, when you don’t look the part. And it's about making space for yourself in a world that excludes you.

    Don
I credit podcasts with getting me out of the weight gym and back outdoors. At 49 I just finished paddling the tuscarawas river in ohio, it met the waldoning and became the muskigham and next year i’ll Do that 111 miles and it will bring me to the Ohio. At that point I hope to have bought a pontoon boat that I can take to the Mississippi and that to the ocean. I want to tell the story in a blog or something to inspire average joe’s like me, not just to dream, but to take the baby step. The hardest step sometimes is getting off your own front porch. Podcasts helped me realize I don’t have to go buy the entire outdoor
store to get outside. My old jansport external frame can still carry a tent :)
Your podcasts and others teach and motivate me.
